How To Defend The Takedown (Basic Sprawl & Twist + Diverting your Opponent)
In this post I have two videos for you.
In our first video I talk you through the basic Sprawl and how to stick with your opponent and maintain control throughout his attempted transitions.
You’ll see how sprawling effectively and monitoring your opponents movement will enable you to maintain control and the dominant position which is of course essential regardless of where the fight is taking place.
In our second video we explain how to defend the takedown by spreading your base, lowering your centre of gravity and completely diverting your opponent when he/she shoots in for the Double or Single Leg Takedown.
